Hi, have been told it is not safe to use cat litter in the compost heap. Is this correct, we use a wood based litter & would remove the poo. We always thought urine was good but don't want to use anything that could cause health problems.

My compost heap certainly stepped up a gear once I persuaded Mr Moog to provide a 'sample'. I argued that, given the number of little pots that I'd had to carry to the midwife, a small amount wasn't going to dent his dignity too much  .
