Newcomer - Is is too late to add shop-bought bagged manure?

Help!!!
I have just planned out my vegetable growing for this coming year, and non of the books tell me whether I can add the well-rotted - pre-bagged "Farmyard Manure" (i.e. 3 bags for £12) to my plot to give my veggies an extra hand for this season.  Is it too late?  I know I should have dug and added it in late autumn, but we only just moved to a new house.  I'm turning an old disused small bed 10m x 3m into a veg patch - and plan a number of large wooden troughs to plant  my spuds and carrots.    Would welcome your advice.

depends what crops you want to put the manure on, it is definately a no no for carrots, but is great for squashes.

i think you could put some in when you plant your potatoes but probably best to put some soil on top before you put the seed potato in
