I've just read in a magazine that the National Trust are running an 'Ugly Vegetable Competition' - the idea is to celebrate those weird looking veggies that taste great but are rejected by the supermarket for not being the 'perfect' size and shape.

I think it's a great idea - I'm sure by the summer I'll have at least a couple of odd looking carrots to submit

I don't know about ugly but my purple sprouting looks pretty sad after the pigeons eat most bar the stalk.
