Been doing a little digging this weekend and discovered some potatoes in my new plot. So obvioulsy i have discovered which part of the plot the previous owner grew his spuds in last yr.

So my question is , is there any thing i should avoid growing there this yr?
As crop rotation is something as a newbie ive not even touched on yet.

i wouldnt worry too much about it,put more spuds in fresh start and all that

The basis rule of rotation is to leave a gap of two and preferably three years between potato crops. Plant your potatoes anywhere else but not there.

If you have potatoes growing up in your other crops that were left in the ground do not regard them as a bonus crop. They carry disease and are a likely source of blight. Dig them out or hoe them off.
