Hi,

I have moved the chicks from the school to my house over the weekend.

The first 2 to hatch (2:00pm and 2:30pm Thurs) seem fine the 3rd is fine (10pm Thurs) but the 4th (midnight)...

I have noticed that the last one to hatch (light sussex) doesn't seem to be opening its eyes.  All the other chicks seem to be fine.

They were in the incubator about 18 hours from the first chick hatching.  Could it be due to the last hatched chick not being in the incubator for as long?  It seemed to be fluffed up ok.  A little tatty around its head though so I am wondering if it may have hair over its eyes?

Could I put it back in the incubator for another few hours with it very humid inside to give it a little sauna session?

It keeps with the other chicks and seems to preen itself!!?

Any ideas?

she'll be fine in the brooder with the others. give her some time if not try a little boiled then cooled down water on a cotton bud

How are the eyes today?

Eyes seem to be opening now.  I think it was just because of the quick change in atmosphere from the incubator to the brooder.

Should all be ok!

Why is it so quiet on here?
