Is it ok to put lettuce in with the rest of Brassicas ?

Hi

I'm working on where everything is going this year and I thought would it be ok to put lettuce with Cabbage,Cauli and Broccoli ?

Is there anything that would be a problem in terms of crop rotation ?

All the books say just pop lettuce in wherever there is room. No probs with rotation. Which is just as well cos it has to go where it's put and lump it in my small beds

Crop rotation isn't the problem, size of lettuce is. If you're going to pick them young and smallish, you can plant the lettuce in between. If you want the lettuce large, then you might want to rethink it. Brassicas are slower growing and can quickly be shaded by lettuces like romaine.
