Anyone know of humane way to banish the mole that is making a mess of my lawn and veg plots despite the soil being frozen solid?

I dont think they do much damage, but there is a web site.
www.getridofthings.com  which will help
It will also tell you how to get rid of girl/boy friends and many other things.

Do not ask how i came accross this site :!:

I have used this to great effect.

Ask your little man in velvet if he would please leave your plot and go somewhere else. If you can, suggest another nice home like a field nearbye or your neighbours plot.

Be polite and very gentle. It is no good getting upset and shouting.

After about 10 days there will be no more molehills.

Drop moth balls down his holes, he'll soon get the message.

It'll bring tears to his eyes.

The mere thought certainly brought them to mine!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Have you tried the police as they were allowed to raid the House of Commons office of Damian Green about a suspected mole.   I am not sure what they would do but they should surely investigate as there is very clear evidence available in this case.

I'm not a bat or a rat or a cat,
I'm not a gnu or a kangaroo,
I'm not a goose or a moose on the loose,
I am a mole and I live in a hole.

I'm not a cow or a chow or a sow,
I'm not a snake or a hake or a drake,
I'm not a flea or a wee chimpanzee,
I am a mole and I live in a hole.

Yarg yarg, quarck quarck, fried boiled or roast,
You're the slick chick I dig the most ,
I'm not a ram or a clam or a lamb,
I'm not a hog or a frog or a dog,
I'm not a bus or a hip-potomus,
I am a mole and I live in a hole.

I have heard the little kids wind mills on sticks drive moles away, they don't like the frequency and vibration they create whilst spinning!

Oh yes!!  I've heard that too, if you stick the windmill near where he lives, your right they dont like the vibrations  :shaking:

Do that instead of shooting him, poor little mite..........just think about the bad karma you'll create around yourself  :(   (and you will you know).

Plus they eat slugs, snails and puppy dogs tails....  :?

He MUST do more good than bad doesn't he?

Lets hear it for the mole....YEY!!!

All these replies reminded me something.  This is how Jasper Carrot dealt with his.  You are in for a treat, the VERY rare animated version of the very funny "The Mole".
