I dont normally visit this side of the plot, i'm over with the feathered people but it is that time of year again that I am ordering my veg and was wondering what are peoples recommendations for runner beans.

Ask in the Grow your own section and you will get loads of answers
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

I really must learn to keep my packages as I can't remember what I grew last year and they were great. Bright red flowers, loads of beans and if left to go to seed produced the most amazing pink and purple beans! Think they were called Painted Lady but might be making that up

I can't remember what I grew this year, but I do remember they were just a cheap pack that I got from Wilkinsons, and they were great, loads and loads of beans for what seemed like ages, I ran out of recipes for them!!

I still seem to get better germination with the old favourite scarlet emperer. :?

I tried pink ones and white ones last year but ran out of seed before i had enough growing, and that was in pots on window ledge not in wet soil!   had to get emergency supplies of S E  from woolies in the end.

So I know what i'm growing in 2009 :)

Snappy

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.

I could give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter.
