Hi Chicken Run

Welcome to the Hen House :D

Are they free ranging? Could they be laying else where or having the eggs stolen by magpies or crows?
Hens need a certain amount of daylight hours to lay eggies, so the fact we're having short days might mean you don't get any till spring now :(

What breed of hen are they? Pure breeds can take longer to start laying :)
Are their combs red? Eye's bright? No sniffles/sneezes?
Have you checked they haven't got mites ?

Sarah :)

Depending on when in July you got your birds, they may still only be 25 to 26 weeks old, so there's nothing to worry about yet as far as I'm concerned.

While the things that have been suggested are not good things for any chickens to have, they wouldn't stop them from laying.
Its probably their age and the time of the year thats holding them back a little and there's nothing to worry about.

My hybrids didn't start laying until about 26 + weeks old.  So as Bodger says, patience  :D
