First two beds dug
« on: February 21, 2007, 11:07 »
Well i've finish clearing my first two "primary" beds for roots n brassicas.  (I've already cleared smaller ones for my fruit)

What should i do to prepare the soil further?  Its been well cultivated in the past and left fallow for around 2 years already.  I'm pretty sure they last had potatoes in as i've dug a few up from both.

Next one to clear this weekend is the peas n beans patch.

check your soils ph for your brassicas, if its acid chuck some lime on, also good time to get muck dug in, but if your putting muck on your brassicas dont lime it for a good few weeks, and dont muck if your putting carrots in.
