To stop anything leaching out that 'might' and to prolong the life of the wood..... so I've heard.

I'm going to get untreated wood (cos our local building merchant will do us a deal), treat the outside and probably line it with some sort of plastic liner (think there's some in the garage somewhere) .... well that's the plan anyway.


I wouldnt worry about treated wood nowadays... don't use arsenic like they used to... and if you are going to the trouble of treating the outside (how) and then lining it sounds like an awful lot of trouble...

I would buy treated and then line if you have concerns around leeching
