Just picked my last one this afternoon (271008) before pulling the plants up and chucking them on the cumpost heap.

Yep - they're still going great guns.....can't believe it.     I've chopped away rather a lot of the large old leaves now......I hope that was OK?? :roll:  :roll: ...only it was like a jungle trying to get to the courgettes without getting needles in me  :?

I think they've had it Faithmead,  just looking at the weather forecast for Tuesday night... Minus 2 deg! Oh well, will have to dig em out.

sown 11th March!! but I seem to remember at the time, I was worried they were WELL too early., and they didn't see the outside world until the end of May

It wasn't late then.They must be a good variety ? Which variety were they ?

Just started to sift through the old seed packets.... I don't throw anything away, just like me grandad!   and I found the courgette packet.
It was Tosca F1 they were sown 11/03 and hardened off at least 4 weeks, firstly in a mini GH, then gradually out into the big world towards the end of May. I don't have a Compost heap at the lottie, so I just chucked a bucket of Home made compo on the ground and sat 'em in that!

-1.7C overnight - that should do 'em, particularly as the plot is exposed. Geraniums near the house are OK though.
