I set mine up in May when I started my allotment. I take pictures of all the jobs I'm doing on the plot and at the end of each month I post all my stories. I usually work on four to six posts during the month.

I try to use lots of pictures and not too much text. I take loads of pictures then I can track changes on the plot week by week and see the changes more dramatically as I can't always see the impact on a daily basis. With a large picture base I can then do themed blogs during the winter.

Mine is in my signature, and you'd be surprised how many people read them! I get several people telling me I don't update mine often enough (don't I John??? LOL), but they are easy to set up and work.

Mine was with Wordpress and it guides you through everything you want for a passable blog, but I'm lucky as I have a lovely man who made mine more professional and it's sold me a lot of POL hens and I hope Christmas turkeys too!!!

link to mine is in my signature. i actually have 3 but one i write anonomously and is more like a diary, but people still seem to have found that by chance it seems from my counter.

my main one i try and update when i remember and when i feel in the mood to sit and type.

i find its a good way of comparing with previous years harvests and progress, especially if you use photos.

I only really have it as a dairy for my own purposes, so I can when and where i planted stuff from year to year. Note to self UPDATE IT!!!

I have one as I use it to see what I have done and try and use it as a diary system to keep a note of what and when I planted things.
