Hi!  

This might be a stupid question, i'm not sure!!  Can you make jam from fruit that has been frozen? I'm not getting enough blackberries at once to make anything much with, so I thought freezing until I have enough might be the answer but am not sure.

OH YES!!!!!!!

I didn't have enough blackberries last year, so I just kept picking and freezing them until I had enough, then this year, went strawberry picking and froze a lot of them, so now in the winter, when there's not so much to do outside, I can make some more jam.  also freezing the fruit then defrosting, gives lots more liquid, and some people say more flavour to the jam!

Definately.  We were able to collect so many brambles last year that we made more jam than we had jam for so froze the rest to make jam later when the jars had been emptied again.  They are also really nice if you need a pudding in the deep of the winter and you stew them and put a sponge mix on top.  Serve it with custard - total comfort food!!!

I picked up some very cheap frozen rasps from a supermarket over the winter, made lovely jam with them.
