Food outside or inside the coop?
« on: September 12, 2008, 15:46 »
I am currently in the process of extending the run of my coop (Currently 4x6 to more like 8x6 with room under the coop as well) and am wondering if it is wise to keep the feeder outside to allow better perching space inside the coop (the food takes up a corner of the highest side of the coop.

I would keep the feed outside under cover during the day but take inside at night so not to encourage vermin.

i dont kow how u have your housing designed but if your looking for space inside and your worried the feeder will take up room, why ot try a piece of guttering along one side .

i've drilled a 6 foot length along one wall and it is brillant am no food is spilled on the floor .
