This may sound like a really silly question, but can mint get blight? My mint is looking like it has the same blight as my tomatoes, but I have not heard of it before??

Could it be rust?  If so just give it a feed.

actually I saw something like this on my mint this afternoon as i was transplanting them to a larger pot I realised there was a great big worm ther.So check to see if you have a  worm at the bottom of the pot ?

As Ice says, rust is the most likely foliage problem with mint, though they can get other disease, it rarely happens, check a few piccies on the net, to make sure.

However , it is not really curable, if noticed early, you can plant up young, uninfected shoots and lose the rest, if the roots are also infected it is easiest to start afresh.

Thanks guys. I have had a look on the internet and the leaves definitely resemble leaf blight. I'm gutted as my mint is actually in a large patch in the garden and I've had a good use of it for years, but I guess I'll have to dig it out and start again. Damn  :cry:
