Can anyone please show me a picture of a grown up babcock? I dont know what she is supposed to look like when she is a big girl (Grannie Annie might help me?? but I know how busy she is)

that would be great Miller thanks, we got our babcock (and 2 goldlines) from the living eggs program at the pre school I work at, we watched them hatch and I looked after them till I took my 3 girlies home at a week old, (boys went to a free range farm to get nice and fat!!) I do want another babcock from grannieannie but will have to wait for her next lot in the new year I think, OH has let me have old playhouse for more chookies

we're actually quite close to Holbeach ourselves! we live in Moulton

thanks grannieannie! babcocks are so beautiful our little one is getting so grown up now, her comb is getting bigger and dark pink, she will be 16wks tomorrow! OH has finally let me have the playhouse that the kids dont use any more(conveniently positioned next to the run!

), so will be fitting that out asap, then will be looking for more girlies

We have decided to wait until early December for our next batch of Babcock's. That way they will be ready to go at POL at the end of March.

So your girly is nearly grown up then!!!! Doesn't time fly?

Actually I miscounted, there wasn't 4 left, there were 5! Then I was let down over 10, but a man from Horncastle called and asked for 6, so when I knew I had the extra 10 I called him back and he's having 6 and his friend is having 4, then a friend of another couple who had 4 of the Babs, had 3 and another man who came to get 2 Amberlinks for his Mum who had 2 chooks taken by the fox, thought it would be better to take the other 2 Babcocks as she had one hen left and we thought the Babs would be easier to introduce than the 10 week old Amberlinks!

So yes thank you, they've all gone, well the 10 are giong this Saturday!!!!

Then it will be the Amberlinks turn in October. I've actually already sold 21 of them, with another 51 on order, so only 230 to go!!!!!!
