Does anyone know how to do this?
Ideally without using willow trees as there are not any near me.

Salicylic acid is widely used in organic synthesis and functions as a plant hormone. It is probably best known as a compound that is chemically similar but not identical to the active component of aspirin. The name derives from the Latin word for the willow tree (Salix), from whose bark it can be obtained.  So if you don't have access to willow, you could try dissolving a few aspirins in a jar of water.

just as apoint of interest ithought i should mention that salysillic acid is also mentioned in books on my trade which is hairdressing so for all us balding young men or (women) out there this is a recommended treatment scientifically and medically as a helpful aid to cure baldness. i think i will just go and make a million or so copies of this thread and a few million quid besides lol.
