Caterpillars on my brussels

They have absolutely wrecked a few of my brussels - what's the best way to eradicate them ?

When we were little, my dad used to pay my sister and I to go out with a carrier bag and collect them. I think we got about six old pence per carrier. Slave Labour. Do you not have anyone you could pay to collect them for you. Might have to pay a bit more now though.

My mum used to pay us 2p a dandilion. Sure you could come up with a similar system!
