My first light sussex to go broody was the one that didnt have any feathers on her rear end. However, by the time she had got over her broodiness, she had a full bum of plumage.

Sorry vember , didnt notice any reply. I have 2 wyandottes and a tiny Belgium Danvers they are 16 months old. They are obviously moulting but it has gone on forever, in fact so long I went out and bought a couple of Warrens just to get some eggs. I have used Poultry Spice to help them. They are eating Smallholding Layers and Muesli and veggies. They really couldnt want for anything else. lol
Oh for those halcyon days of England long ago

Hi Ruby,

Maybe your feeding them too well
I remember the no egg situation and it is annoying, like you I went out and got more girls :)

At one stage earlier this year I got 13 eggies in one day    Thankfully after that gradually they started to go broody, we litally went from one extreame to another
