Mornin all, hope you had a productive weekend - managed to get a base for my greenhouse down, so fingers crossed for the rest of it...

I've got quite a lot of small Desiree potatoes - sort of golf ball size - in my hessian sack.  Can I use these as seed potatoes?  I can't think of any reason why not - they were planted as certified seed spuds last year, and had no problems in growing.  Thought I'd see what the collective wisdom had to offer ;-)

id do it  my grand daughter s werked .put em in a bin liner with compost and let them have fun in the greenhouse mate . fresh new tatties later on in the year ,, i gaurantee it ( if you look after them perfickly ) lolo. cop out clause  :lol:

Does anyone have a foolproof way of composting unused spuds without them growing through the compost bin?
