hello all been in the garden with my lad,his face says it all (doesnt want his pic taken in case his friends see him lol ). We picked about 10 lbs of runner beans and french beans ,these have been blanched and bagged and put in the freezer. Then decided to pull up the onions its probably a bit early but this blooming weather poor plants dont know if its summer or autumn, anyway if your interested here,s some pics of a miserable lad and the onions ,behind them are jerusalem artichokes trying to hide the oil tank from the thieves [/IMG][/IMG]
If the early bird gets the worm how come the 2nd mouse to the trap gets the cheese ??

Leave them spread out to ripen in the sun to set the skins for storing and to dry the necks out to stop them rotting :!:

Plenty of air round them and ripened well and you'll have great onions all through the winter.

They look good enough to eat

We've only got one of yours on loan; young chap from Israel.

Glad we have you first game away. Gets it out of the way quickly + if we get any kind of result sets us up nicely.

PUP!

Take care when weeding, sweetcorn has roots very near the surface. Don't damage them !
