I trust everyone is well and enjoying the weather.

Is anyone bothering going onto the lot this weekend or do you think the ground will be too hard?   8)

Spect I should pick up all the broken glass and repair the greenhouse. At this rate I could have bought another one.

I will still be going down i was given a greenhouse so i need to sort out which size glass goes where so i can order the replacement glass. The plot between me and the guy on plot 5 we have just split between us so i need to remove the rubbish before i can dig it. So i will be busy for a while :D

Got to go this weekend to do some remodelling...
I've had the plot for a year now - so I'm a real expert.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Hello christian, get the spade out mate, the ground will be ok, if theres a frost it'll be much cleaner digging, just remember to chuck all the roots out as your digging :)  :)

I  have divided my 1 pole plot into 3 parts for crop rotation. I then devide each of these  30 foot by 30 foot areas into 9 sections giving 27 - 10 ft squares    to dig over during the winter.  You can easily dig a 10 ft square in 3 hours on a Sunday morning as long as the ground is not frozen and there is not to much couch to pull out.  December to March is a pleasent digging time, although the weeds are beginning to grow now.

I'm going down on Sunday ...
... have to make up the base from for my greenhouse and carry it round a bit to decide on where to site it permanently.

On Saturday I shall be trying to acquire some secondhand slabs for the base.

My plot is pretty much all dug over and ready to plant.  If I could plant anything that is.

Oooo ... will have to lift the lid on my rhubarb forcer and have a look see!

I'll be out on Sunday sorting my 3 compost heaps, clearing the greenhouses and finishing off digging/clearing my first bed.

I'm having trouble getting there at the mo as my better half has been doing a LOT of weekend shifts.  My only time off.  As the nights get lighter it'll get easier as i can get there for 4:30 - 5pm every weekday.

We will be there tomorrow a.m.  I will be putting up shelves in the shed...and the other half will, with a bit of luck, be doing the backbreaking digging of another raised bed :D

Spose I might give a hand...or, at least, some encouragement. I'll fill the coffee flask! :D
