Hi Nick, welcome.

I'll move this to the GYO forum where more people in the know are likely to view it.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Just keep digging them up, you could try glyphosate. Which artichokes are we talking about Jerusalem or globe ?

Welcome to the forums btw  :D

Welcome to the forums.
If you're anywhere near Chelmsford I could give you a hand digging them up as both sorts are on my wish list ;)

We planted some about three years ago, have never had to bother again since as we always seem to 'miss' some.  We had an empty overgrown plot next to ours and we had been tossing some little bits over on to it.  It's now been taken over and the new owner has rotavated.  Guess what he's got growing all over his plot.

Could give the area back to lawn for a season or two. JA don't seem to do well in lawn.

I thought you had Jerusalems Aggy?  Karl gave me a few!!  I've got them growing in my old bathtub, they are getting tall now, but I've never eaten them so I don't know if we'll like them.  recipes ideas would be nice!

And I've noticed quite a few fields around here with them in this year too!!!!

Is it true that all the windows need to be open after you have eaten them?
