http://www.instructables.com/ holds a wealth of free tips and tricks and 'instructions' in building a massive amount of things, not least for gardening and pets/ husbandry. If you haven't already come across it, i would suggest you visit. There is an excellent guide to creating a small compost bin from a blue barrel which can rotate to mix the stuff. Excellent.

So if you have, and have made something from one, pics please. It'll be good to see what people have made from here.

i have it on my RSS feed list,  although i get mainly craft ones so i think i need to sign up to other sections!

I've never created one but I have found (and usually 'tweaked' for my own purposes) various plans, and I get the weekly email too.
