hi all, i've read a lot about digging up the potato crop for storage, and anything that would free up space would really help me.  but do salad potatoes store the same as maincrop?  i'm growing anyas and charlottes, and i'd love to be able to get something in the space but don't want to ruin the flavour.  last year i just cut the foliage and stems back and left them in the ground to pick out as and when i could, but would prefer to make more use of the space.

They will store, but not for as long & don't expect them to taste anywhere near as nice as fresh dug.

Deano, what are your Anya like?  Had a look at mine last week and they were tiny (planted in early April) also the foliagehas really suffered and is thin and straggly looking.  Also have Charlotte (lovely), Nadine, Lady Balfour and Cara (not tried any of these yet).
