Hi everyone,

Could anyone help me with couple of questions I have.
Firstly, I set some eggs going in the incubator, I was told that humidity needed to be 47%, after 14 days I candle them and the air sack seemed small (but I do have dodgy eye sight)

What humidity would anyone who has been successful with an incubator recommend?

Secondly, I have a silkie that’s gone broody, she is in with 3 other silkie hens and a cock, she has her own nest box and the other hens are laying in a separate nest box.

Should I leave her where she is or move her to a separate pen?

As you can see still a novice, but I do know you all like pictures

Separate accomodation is best if you can manage it, I cobbled together a broody box out of 6 old cupboard doors from an old kitchen, a few screws and cable ties for the lift up lid. Not the prettiest but works

As it goes i'm just putting in a new kitchen now so the old/odd bits will come in handy (saves going to landfill).

I was just a little worried about moving her into strange surrounding, would she abandon the eggs or something?
