As potatoes come out what would be good to plant in their place?? Fairly new to allotments ect so i am looking for something fairly trouble free to grow.
If you do things well, do them better. Be daring, be first, be different, be just.

cabbages, beetroot, carrots. And anything with a fairly short growing season
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

have you given any thought to your winter veg?  depending on what you want to eat over winter but some of the winter veg needs to be started off now ready to go in very soon like Kale (at least, my kale isn't in the ground yet but should be OK to go in this weekend - I hope)
