We have a Cucumber!

This is mine, (please excuse the weeds, but they are difficult to get at)..

Variety is T & M's "Carmen".

They say 50 to 100 per plant! I have 4 plants, each have about 15 cues of various stages on.

The seeds are not cheap (£7.99 for 5!), but I got them with the 'spend £10 get the most expensive free' offer. So they cost nowt!

i am guessing that is about 10 inches? how long will you leave it before picking?

Mine are just telegraph improved not f1 and on the back of the packet it says plant produces both male and female flowers, remove male flowers before they open to prevent pollination and bitter fruit.
I'm training my 2 up a garden arch, one is almost at the first cross bar

Just wondering why the baby cucs have nobbles on. I can only presume they were pollinated cos with the downpours we're getting, plus my top-ups, they're well watered.

Not far off - 8 1/2" & I'll pick it as soon as I've used up the one in the fridge. It won't be full sized, but there's plenty more to come. (Hopefully).

Most baby cues have nobbles on.

Pollination does not affect the shape, taste of the fruit etc., but the seed that it carries. It's the seed that can taste bitter.
