Just a wonder as to what if any supplements people give to their hens.

What you should give to help keep in tip top condition etc.

I have tried to look around on here for similar posts but have not been able to find anything.

Poultry spice is a good one, that is if your chooks will eat it...........mine won't touch it!

There is also Battles poultry drink too which you add to the drinking water.

Our girls do have garlic cloves in their water and when they are moulting I give them some cod liver oil in their mash.

I feed them Pellets, they are free range with plenty of borders for worm hunting (they have trashed their area), they have grass and then I feed them veg peelings and porridge that my son always leaves and other day to day bits (The wife will not allow any meat and I am sure that this will turn out to be a good thing anyway)

What is the garlic cloves for??? do you not get a hint of garlic in the eggs??

I dont tend to give grit, as they free range a large area with plenty of natural grit. I also give Small holders super mixed corn which contains grit. So far have never had any crop problems.
