I wish I knew myself.  :)

I've only dabbled in the past and I didn't really do the right thing then.

Like yourself, I'm looking for answers but due to lack of opportunities, I could only just dig the plot over and plant up without actually getting anything fed back into it first.
I'm hoping that a good rest and feed over Winter will bring it into some sort of useful shape.
