Chicken Urban Myth?

Ok.. I am a foster carer and have my own tiny fostering site.. a member I've known for nearly 5 years now.. said today that she knew someone who had chickens.. and they put a plastic egg (remember the fridge 'freshner' types.. blue from what i can remember) under her hens.. and they laid blue eggs becuase of this!

Now.. I laughed as I know Cream Legbars lay blue eggs.. so told her i think her friend pulled her leg all those years ago...

But.. is she right? Am i wrong? :?

My children do that (whole cadbury egg in mouth) it is a disgusting sight....when they all start laughing!!!! :roll:
