Asparagus - too late?
« on: June 04, 2008, 21:38 »
As well as getting my lottie today    I was given an unopened Wilko's pack of asparagus crowns (is that the right term  :?: ) by a very nice chap who was selling me his wormery.

There's no 'use by' date on them, as far as I know he only bought them this year - is it too late to plant them, what will happen if I do, and if I don't how do I store them for next spring?
Nobody said this was going to be easy ... but some days are better than others!

I'd hazard a guess, that they are dead dried out if bag is unopened.  Try to see in water if there is any sign of life within a week or so, before bothering with them.
