This is my worst frost-affected spud. Appeared to be totally dead a few days ago. However now.......

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Nice wish my desiree spuds looked like that after the frost.
But life will find away like my yummy salad leaves!

some of the later grown spuds haven't broken ground yet. Good job really cos the rest are black.  They should be fine though - I think  :D

Hi DD

I have no frost damage, but when I finally got to the plot today I found the leaves of one of my potatoes totally  stripped off - I assume by slugs.
None of the others had been touched!
I was going to dig it up but perhps I will leave it now that I have seen your picture and see what happens to it.

There's a few things that eat leaves, from the very small to the very large. Spuds have good powers of recovery, so I'd give it a chance.

I'd pinch off the dead stuff DD and keep an eye on the fresh growth - I reckon you could be lucky and save the plants :D
