some of the later grown spuds haven't broken ground yet. Good job really cos the rest are black.  They should be fine though - I think

I have potatoes in bags behind the garage, no frost here in yorkshire thank goodness.

Hi DD

I have no frost damage, but when I finally got to the plot today I found the leaves of one of my potatoes totally  stripped off - I assume by slugs.
None of the others had been touched!
I was going to dig it up but perhps I will leave it now that I have seen your picture and see what happens to it.

There's a few things that eat leaves, from the very small to the very large. Spuds have good powers of recovery, so I'd give it a chance.

I'd pinch off the dead stuff DD and keep an eye on the fresh growth - I reckon you could be lucky and save the plants
