now according to the weather reports this morning it did not freeze last night- BUT our sweet little italian neighbor pointed out to me the many frost bitten plants around -  2 plots down a bit lower than mine about 6 rows of potatoes were touching there toes and couldn't get back up again-also people lost lots of tomatoes and peppers-  we covered ours so i feel really lucky-but my heart goes out to all who lost plants last night- i'm very shakey about tonight-- i was just out in the garden and its so cold- i bet a few chelsea gardeners are worried sick-
