yes i know it seems a long way away but can i grow broccoli for the winter as it doesnt freeze too well , i would like some fresh , how soon should i be putting in the seeds . i have some all year round cauliflower but the broccoli isn't should i look for a type that is .

Yes, it's about time to sow. I can't see why they would not do OK there, not many named, usually just come as early - end winter- or late - late spring - purple  or white sprouting broccoli.

yes , i know my spelling is awful , just forgot the spell check and i was hurrying to feed my monsters .
thanks for the info i will try some now ,the ones i have in now are fantastic , the first broccoli and we ate the first head on Sunday really sweet .

Giving it a second thought, Chrissie, we start to sow them nowish - I've never grown them in Greece - but probably because of the the long hot summer you might wait for a month or so, really.
