Grow mixed salad or mustard as a sacrificial next to your turnip, radish seedlings, or grow them some other time than May/June when the place is swarming with them, otherwise...fleece.

Is there a chemical remedy for flea beetle?
Cheese makes everything better.

Derris I think but I'd rather fleece or use Enviromesh, saves on chemicals

I have the same problem with flea beetle....and I'm not even sure that fleece is 100% effective.
The organic way of ridding your crops of them, is to smear some molasses or treacle on a piece of cardboard, and fan it over the affected crops - honest, it does work.
When I first heard about this, I didn't have any treacle in the cupboard, but used peanut butter instead, but to be honest, that didn't really work

enviromesh does work. But it's a bit of a pain because you have to plant all your lettuce in the same place.
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
