And the next day ...

So ... having said a fond farewell to Princess ...

...there really is only one option, isn't there?  Tomorrow, we go to Storrs Poultry ... 'cause after all, we're going to run low on eggs now, aren't we?  Especially with Dorothy the egg eating fiend providing her own breakfast every morning.

And since I know that introducing one bird might mean it got bullied or picked on (should that be 'pecked on'?), it really needs to be a pair, doesn't it?

So I'm thinking - hybrids (bit wary of the pure breeds now after our experience with Princess) - already got a Warren and a Black Rock - Storrs don't have any Speckledy in for another couple of weeks - so I think a Bluebelle and an Amber ...

What you reckon, folks?
Nobody said this was going to be easy ... but some days are better than others!

Ooooo the world is you're lobster Rodney.  Or in this case your chicken.

I've introduced one new hen to one old hen and it is very difficult.  Took 3 weeks before I could put them together without Chicken Wars breaking out.  Next time I need to introduce another girl (not for a while I hope) it will be two new ones to my one old girl.

Let us know what you get.  NO, let us see what you get
