CHerry tomatoes and hanging baskets

Hello everyone,

 Just wondering can you grow cherry tomatoes in a hanging basket?

 The plan currently is to get a few hanging baskets on the go, hopefully one or two with cherry tomatoes in and some with strawberries in. I'm trying utilise any space that i have hence the walls are now in play. :shock:

Thanks for any advice, i appreciate im a pain in the a***e with all these silly questions.

I'm hoping to grow tumbling toms in my hanging baskets this year too.  I have also got some strawberries in pots that hang on the wall but I can't remember their name at the moment. :roll:

i'm growing tumbling toms - but there is another variety isn;t there too?

thats it - garden pearl - i knew we had 2 varieties in our baskets last year.

Yes, I grow Tumbling Tom in hanging baskets, mainly in the greenhouse but also a couple outside.
I put one in a 14inch basket. You will need to keep them well watered (but in my experience the Tumbling Tom keeps producing even when neglected). I put some water gel powder (the stuff that expands to hold water) when I plant, and this helps.
I find they grow about 1 foot high but don't trail very much.
