I got a tip and it works, you more than likely all know it but here goes,

Get a metal bucket fill with sharp sand mixed with a little pea gravel and pour in cheap cooking oil

you can leave outside your shed and when you have taken off the muck from your tools you can just dip them in moving up and down to sharpen and oil your tools without much effort.

works a treat.
