Should i be able to see something on candling? If so, then i may be looking at a no show come hatch day!! :(

Five days is a bit early to see much I usually try to wait a week to ten days but sometimes get impatient and have a peek earlier.  You should be able to see a tiny red blob with spidery veins coming from it but if you can't see anything yet don't give up just candle them again in five days time and it will all becoma a lot clearer. :D

I leave the eggs until at least ten days or even longer. At that time, you know that you are going to see something or nothing and there wont be any'might be or not sures' The clear eggs wont have gone rotten and my advice would be not to fiddle around with them anymore than you have to. :D

I do check mine at 4 days and i can tell if they are fertile or not but no earlier. I check mine at least twice during incubation and discard any that are not fertile

Don't you get tempted to have a quick look a bit earlier Bodger? I never remove any at five days but it gives me a rough idea what is fertile and what isn't then when I candle again at 10 days sometimes I get a nice surprise and have more fertile than expected  :lol:
