incubation after 21 days
« on: May 07, 2013, 11:35 »
I am totally puzzled, I have followed my new incubator instructions down to the T, candled the eggs at 10 days and also at 17 before putting them into my other incubator for final hatching - and still no pipping or hatching or anything -  in fact I just don't know what to do now apart from wait, I don't want to throw them away if there is any chance that they are alive, I cannot believe that I have 12 eggs in the incubator and not one is doing anything - any brilliant ideas ?

HELP

Check all your settings and leave well alone if it is all set up right.  The 21 days is an average so you get some hatching at 19 and some day 23/24.   ;)

  Step away from the incubator.   ::)

I know it is really hard but you have nothing to lose by leaving them.  If you disturb them now and they are viable you could lose them.  You may be able to hear cheeping before they pip or see the egg moving slightly but it will probably stress you out watching for the slightest sign.   ;)

I had eggs that hatched out nearly a week late, but there was a couple of DIS

Have you checked the humidty/temperature levels ?

Now I turn them upto day 18, raise the humidity level and dont turn them, I just upen it up, a quick spray of water, top up the small pot and the sponge, and thats it

When you candled them at day 17, what wwere they like ? (viable?)
It's all about the journey, not the destination
