Do you drill holes in the bottom? How reliable are they? I should think they look better than ordinary trays. :?:  :?:
I know less today than I did yesterday, and I knew nothing then!

they are quite thick metal , we put drainage in and paint them of course and they all stand nice and tidy together , put some peppers in them and aubergines will see how they do , have seen some big plants grown in them so fingers crossed .

I really like the idea of these, where is it possible to get the tins from? Keep me up to date with how the plants grow. Jan

i don't think you would get them in UK unless from the large supermarkets that sell fresh feta over the counter or olives they also come in  the big tins .
the plants look OK and have big hopes as i have probes with my soil and they have extended my garden space .

Chrissie you little angel I know just where to go and grovel. We have a rather good deli which may have some. Would Greek restaurants do this kind of thing do you think? Have been in lots of times but have been so wasted on retsina etc by the time I leave I always think I'm lucky to make it home never mind taking anything with me

if they use large amounts of feta and olives they may well do although olives do come vacuum packed these days , there's no harm in asking they will only throw them away , you may try the Indians as well Ive often seen large drums for oil outside on bin day .
as for the groveling i like to call it man management
