First timer,so please excuse my lack of know how on this question.Sprouts seem to take up an awful lot of room,can i grow my swedes and turnips amongst them? Struggling to fit all my brassicas in my brassica cage,and this is all on paper and in my head,god only knows what its gonna look like when time comes! many thanks!

I would say no, and the reason being is brassicas are hungry plants and you wouldnt want to drain the soil around them of the food that they require,if you wanted to plant stuff around them why not try lettuce,also swedes need plenty of room too

You can start your sprouts in a seed bed (or in pots) and plant them out later in the summer, I think even after early peas and such.  That way they'll only take up loads of space for half the year.
