Runner beans are great to grow in small spaces, they take up little ground space and you'll get plenty of crop. You could also get a 'mini' greenhouse zip up tent thingy. You could get a few tomatoes, chillies, peppers in there.

Plan where you put them carefully, work out which direction the sun goes around the garden (or what little sun you get) and try to place all the stuff mentioned above where you get the most light.

You could grow some salad crops in the shadier areas, lettuce doesn't tend to like full blazing sun.

Why not concentrate on the patio mini-veg??  They all grow in pots and you can 'chase' the sun if need be! :tongue2:

French beans such as safari and farrari are very slim fine beans and will do very well in pots.
What about growing tomatoes in hanging basket?  That what I am doing this year!  Need some seed?
Lettuces are also very happy in the north borders that get quite a bit of shade.

Seriously though, corguettes do very well in containers and so you can grow new pot very successfully in a bin bag.

A lot of folks say anything can be container grown, which is almost certainly the case, just collect some rain water for the time being, though.

As a punishment for your spelling you have to do some lines ..... one line of carrots, one line of parsnip ..... :?

Even though its concrete you could make a raised bed. Mine is on a patio area that we dont use.

I thought it was funny.  Fothergills do a range of seeds for growing in pots.  Pity I don't have room for any more pots on my patio or else we won't be able to sit out there in this lovely hot summer we are going to have (wishful thinking - never got the patio set out last year)
