my packets of seeds that I ordered online have finally turned up. With all the seedlings I lost in the wind at the weekend, i'm very eager to get some of these ones on the go   ....BUT.....i have,
Sow (under glass) March:
sugar snap pea
Leek

But the rest of the packets are mainly (sow under glass) April...
courgettes
french bean
runner bean
cucumber

and finally, June
kale

I was hoping I'd be okay to do all but the kale now?  :?: i should probably follow the instructions  :roll: but has any1 had problems sowing these "april" ones a month early? :?:

(they'd be going into pots/trays in the mini greenhouse) :!:


edit: :arrow: oh..now reading on a few sites to plant some of the above directly in bed....mines not ready & wont be for a couple weeks.....will containers be okay to start them off & then transplant or shouldnt they be moved?

you don't say where you are in the country.  Go by the packet instructions is my advice

I'm in NE Derbys and we get frosts up to the first, and even second week in June, so we don't sow too early as you have to keep all the plants ticking over in the greenhouse and they can get leggy or you end up having far too many plants are far too little space

I sow mine on the last day or April, that is courgettes, beans, corn, squashes etc

Then plant them out when danger of frost is past, so you have to keep an ear out for the local weather

I'm in the SE (east anglia). I've been given another mini greenhouse now & I guess I'm just wanting to fill it!!   especially now all my seeds arrived this morning!..how sad!
