Unformed eggs?????
« on: March 01, 2008, 09:04 »
Have just been out to check the chooks again, and have found in the nest box what can only be described as a lump of "fat".  It was white in colour, round in shape and does just look like a lump of fat.  When I broke it open it was solid all the way through.

Could it be an unformed egg? Or one that has not developed properly? Have had this before so can only presume that it is from one of my ex-batts who is probably coming to the end of her egg laying days.

Not that it bothers me as they are all happy, I just wondered if anyone else has had anything similar. I certainly won't be getting rid of any of them just 'cos they don't lay anymore.
