The day has finally come that I hoped would never happen, with a very sad heart I must finally let my darling mollie go to a pain free life.
We have shared the last 14 years with much love and endless walks. you have given me comfort through the bad times a few years ago. During the last month you have deteriorated rapidly, the vet says you can not see and that you are unable to hear. Your arthritis is very bad and you have difficulty in walking.
Tonight we must say goodbye for the last time. I am devastated and do not know how I will get through it, but I must for you.
I will meet you again and as the poem earlier in the week says you will be waiting for me in we will walk in the sunshine

It's a horrible decision to make, I had to make the same one for my cat last year, and no one ever wants to say goodbye to a beloved pet but you are doing the kindest thing for her.

oh Viv, you are so so brave. My heart goes out to you and I am sure I will not be the only one thinking of you tonight and sending lots of love.
It is so difficult having just last week gone through it myself but it does help knowing afterwards that I did it not for me but out of true love and respect for an animal that has given me so much.
She is a truly beautiful girl and the photo made me smile - despite a  few tears. Hold on to those wonderful memories.

Viv I am so sorry to hear your sad news. I truly believe that you and Molly wll be reunited again. In fact we will all be reunited with all our pets :shock: That means 4 dogs, 17 hamsters, 20 gold fish, 10 chickens, 4 cats, and a wild blackbird we hand reared called Nigel. :shock:
I am thinking of you and will mention you in my prayers. XXXXX
