I've just received the latest news letter, it was interesting reading as usual
I read about fruit trees in pots
I have blueberry, lemon, lime, fig trees in pots (and of course the wife has her lilies in pots, they stay out, just cut back the stalks and shred them for the hot bin
The blue berries I leave out (but cover with a fleece, they never give as much fruit as the sellers always portray),
The lemon, lime and fig trees I bring into my conservatory, they get minimum water, no feed, there is no heating in my conservatory, I turn the radiators off
The lemon tree seems to give fruit year round, regardless of the weather
The lime tree has never given fruit, it gets watered, fed the same as the lemon tree, if it does fruit next year, it's off to the bin (its the same age as the lemon tree, about 4-5 years old, so any suggestions are appreciated
The fig trees are new this year, so I have no idea when they will bear fruit (one is a 'little miss figgy' a dwarf tree)
Never even tried growing them, so any tips/tricks are appreciated, as usual
My tomato's got off to a slow start, but even now I am still picking them, they seem a lot sweeter this year
