[Pony Girl]

Any idea what these pests are please? One of my curly kale plants started looking sick a couple of weeks ago and when I dug it up the roots were covered in these microscopic pests - they look like teeny millipedes red dots / stripes. I couldn’t find anything like them when I googled it.

Look like spotted snake millipedes to me - normally thought to take advantage of damage caused by other creatures (eg holes in potatoes made by slugs), although there does seem to be rather a lot of them...

Hard to tell whether they were the root cause (sorry) in the absence of any other evidence.
